Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love sees Shinjiro Tiaga who, along with a new cast of characters, has to take out the demons that have appeared in New York. Initially believing that he’s being recruited to the Japanese division of an elite anti-demon force, he is instead assigned to lead the American branch in New York City, known as the “New York Combat Revue”. The team splits its time between theatre productions, their daily lives, and fending off demon invasions by piloting giant robots known as STARs.
While commanding a team of STARs is the main attraction, players actually spend much of their time exploring the lives and activities of various characters. Balancing life as a military leader and musical director, Shinjiro also has to adjust to the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced metropolis, whilst the choices and actions the gamer has Shinjiro make will help or hinder the other characters.
Sakura Wars tells its story through simple yet beautiful 2D artwork, and the emotional and dramatic moments of each and every character are expressed through anime inspired visuals and voice acting. All combat is fought in a full 3D environment, allowing the gamer to move wherever their STAR is capable of going.
With 8 chapters in total and 7 characters to control, Sakura wars offers over 40 hours of gameplay ensured to keep any gamer entertained
