Bringing the popular Sports Island game to the DS for the first time, Konami have ensured that this game is “the everybody sports game”.

Featuring 10 all-new diverse sports specifically designed for the handheld, Sports Island uses a combination of the touch screen capabilities and button use to give the player complete control.

There is an incredible amount of variety to the game, with players gaining the opportunity to try their hand at Rugby, Table Tennis, Arm wrestling and Bobsled as well as many more. Boasting a unique control system, player can steer their on-screen sky-diver into position, or chase and flick towards the target on the screen to shoot Clay Penguins.

For added competitive fun, up to six players can join through DS Download player working together or against each other using just one copy of the game. Players can also set up leagues to keep track of the best performers in each event, while bespoke teams can be created. Unique and personalised names can be given to individuals, so each player can be matched to their in game character.

In addition to the new sports and multiplayer functionality, players are also able to create their own teams by designing and customising uniforms, changing athlete abilities and altering the physical characteristics of the athletes themselves.
