Based on the iconic horror movie series, SAW invites players to the grim and dangerous corridors of an abandoned mental asylum to run a harrowing gauntlet of terror. Players will get to experience the madness of Jigsaw, a maniac who lays brutal traps and mind-bending puzzles for players to solve - with gruesome death the price of failure.
The timeline for the game takes place between the movies: Saw and Saw II, giving the game its own story, yet fitting within the narratives of the movies. The story centers on Detective David Tapp who awakens in a decrepit, abandoned asylum. He has been captured by his longtime nemesis, Jigasaw. Obsessed with catching this serial killer, Tapp must play a deadly game to escape, and in order to do so he must survive the lethal traps and puzzles that Jigasaw has put in place for him and others.
Developed by Zombie Studios, this entirely new survival horror experience boasts impressive next gen visuals, to bring players "a terrifying experience that offers truly unique gameplay features". Meanwhile, Tobin Bell, the actor who plays the infamous Jigsaw in the movies will reprise his role in the game. Widely regarded as one of cinema's most terrifying villains, his chilling and immediately recognisable voice adds hugely to the authenticity to the game, and will communicate with the player via recordings and through a puppet named Billy.
