Product Description
The DGS-3324SRi operates as a high performance external switching fabric for the DES-3352SR and DGS-3324SR series stacking products. The 'Star' architecture of the DGS-3324SRi offers many of the same advantages as traditional chassis based solutions such as dedicated bandwidth, removable flash memory system, optional redundant power and hot-swappability. Along with its high availability architecture, the DGS-3324SRi supports ASIC Based Layer 3 routing (RIPv1/v2, OSPF, and DVMRP), multi-layer traffic classification, and L2/L3/L4 Access Control Lists. The DGS-3324SRi is a managed Layer 3, (24) port managed 10/100/1000Mbps with (8) combo SFP modules. The DGS-3324SRi has a switching capacity of up to 168Gbps and supports 6 integrated, rear 10Gigabit-stacking ports. The DGS-3324SRi can be easily added to an existing stack of DGS-3324SRs and/or DES-3352SRs to improve stacking performance and reduce network latency, compared to traditional 'ring stacking' architectures.
